Victim impact statement

I honestly do not know exactly how to start this, but I guess I will start by saying hello and good morning to everyone present. anuary 12, 2008 Is a date that has been permanently embedded into my memory, similar to the way I remember my birthday every year but not as important. Let me just go ahead and state that I am not going to slander you (J immy) at all during this reading. It would be pointless, I mean why wait now to attack you with verbal assaults, instead I'm going to tell you a little about myself and give you some words of wisdom and encouragement. From the day I woke up I stated that I forgive you, and I meant it. The forgiveness was not for you but for myself. I was not quite sure of the exact obstacles that I would be facing at the time, but whatever they were to be I wanted to face them bravely, unafraid, and wisely. In order for me to do so, forgiving you was mandatory. You see, if I would have wasted a single second of my life hating you, then I would have been destroying precious time that has been granted to me. I didn't hate you then, and I don't hate you now. No words of hatred or evil towards you have ever left my mouth, I've prayed for you and your family countless times. Now i do not want you to think that I sympathize with you or I feel sorry for you in any way, although I must admit I hate that any of this had to happen. The reason I have never spoken badly about you, is because there was never a need to, I am a strong individual and if I were to let something such as being shot devour the rest of my time living then I would consider myself to be a fool. I have gone through a tremendous amount of physical pain I spent a great portion of my teenage years being hospitalized, and I have not walked since the day of the shooting. With all of that said I have still continued to live as normally as possible, I go to college I have my own apartment and I have done things that I never dreamed of accomplishing. I am not going to go on continue telling you anything about myself that you probably careless about, so I will go ahead and get to the parts. Jimmy I hope that you can become a better person during this whole experience. life does not end here for you, you can still do good to the world and your family. Try and educate yourself as much as possible.
