I met with Gulfstream avionics during the NBAA and discussed the PlaneView cockpit upgrade available on GIV and GV aircraft wh=ch provides similar cockpit features of the G550 and G450's. They remove the CRT Cathode Ray flat panel and install LCD displa=s, which can display Jepp charts/approaches, Moving map, XM weather display and compatible for Synthetic Vision / Night vision display.. -Gulfstream also introduced a low cost camera mounted to Nose cowl for=20 Night Vision for $130,000 installed. which can be displayed on Cockpit=20 LCD's and passenger compartment airshow monitor. -The PlaneView upgrade cost, $725,000.00 installed / down time- two weeks.
