He has an old Dell that no longer starts; rather it beeps three times and does nothing else. The beeps indicate a hardware failure. He doesn't seem to have complex requirements for a new system, but has asked for a laptop if we're going to find him a replacement. The new MacBooks offer only a 13" model for —$1500. MacBook Pro offerings include the 15" which start at —2500. These prices include tax, shipping, and Apple Care protection. As of this time he has no means of electronic communication. I wanted to get your input on whether we should be purchasing a laptop for him and your thoughts on the model. Please advise when you have a moment.
