Jeffrey,
I was planning to use Dave on the next GIV flight, Billy is Due GIV re-current
training Nov 1st and will not meet our insurance requirements for 12 month training
after Nov 1st. I'm uncertain of Boeing's flight demands once we have the Boeing
back in service for Sultan to purchase or demo. If we have Dave fly the 8727 and I
can use Billy in the GIV with me if flying overlaps, it could be an asset to have Billy
current in GIV after November. Billy asked if we would assist him in either splitting
the cost of GIV school $15,000 or best option would be to pay for his school and he
gives us $15,000 worth of flying in return. He would cover his expenses (hotel, food
and airline). he would benefit by not being taxed on his pay.
Just a note, I had a disagreement with Billy regarding $500 for airline day and
$1,000 work day. He felt his time was worth $1000 per day since other companies
he fly with pay $1000 per day regardless of airline or work day. In the past, I would
put Billy to work on airline days, he was an asset to me.
please advise if you want to send Billy to GIV class or just use
Dave moving forward?
thx
Larry
