I know him well (as well and his wife). He is very sharp and super connected in Italy. He is now thinking of running for Italian presidency in a few years. As he is economist, he wants to get some background in government relationships. This is a reason that he would like to spend a year at HKS starting September. His is able to take a year off from his current post as a Managing Director at Mediobanca S.p.A. He would like to spend a year as a fellow (or whatever other title is) working either for David G or Larry. Could you please ask David if he could consider discussing it with him (I think that David would be much easier than Larry — also as Marco is economist that would like to go into politics, David might be a wiser choice).
