Subject: Introduction - Brando de Metz
Dear Jeffrey,
I hope this message finds you well. I never had the pleasure of meeting you, but my brother Delon
couldn't say enough great things about you and your guidance and mentorship. Given your
experience in and knowledge of finance, I was hoping you could help advise me during the
career shift for which I'm preparing myself. For the past year, I've been working in the Finance
Division at Goldman Sachs, and I feel as though my growth has been stunted. I haven't been
learning the skill sets that I believe will put me on the right track to having a successful career in
finance, and I'm hoping to have the opportunity to make a productive change.
Although I'm open to almost any opportunity in which I'll be learning about investing, I would love to work
in the venture capital or private equity space. I would very much appreciate any advice and
assistance you could offer in helping me navigate this industry. Thank you so much for your
time, and I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Best regards,
Brando
