Hi, So sorry bout that,,, You are correct, turn power strip on, plus you have to turn on speaker bar with remote, that should get you going, if speaker bar is not on, I don't think the cable box will hook up to tv,,,it worked good when I was there, so I don't think its a payment issue„I didn't know the bedroom has cable, since there is no box, bella, you can cancel bedroom cable if you like, its set up for dud's only,. Last night and I stayed in your apt (11B)...is there a secret to getting the TV to work? is usually pretty good at these things...he flipped the switch on the surge protector when the TV was on and the cable box lit up....but on the TV it said the cable box was not authorized? I spoke to Bella and she says she pays for cable in your family room and bedroom...we couldn't get the TV on in the bedroom either...it appeared you can only watch DVD's in there??
