We understand that you played a significant r=le in Jes Staley's candidacy for this job, and indeed played a similar role in 2012, lobbying board members at Barclays as well=as banking authorities in the UK. In fact we understand =hat Jes was approved by most of the board in 2012 but vetoed at the last =inute. Obviously the outcome looks different this time.
