A significant number of the staff had their hom=s destroyed or rendered uninhabitable by the storms and they took refuge p=st- hurricane at GSJ. Massive amounts of supplies for these employees were =rought onto GSJ in the immediate aftermath of the storms. ar> One is near the location of the proposed new dock across from Little=St. James and one is in Christmas Cove. Both are rock lined and rubb=e filled and extend approximately 10'-15' off shore. We are =ware that these were not permitted. Despite repeated attempts, the staff w=re unable reach anyone at DPNR prior to construction. Mr. Epstein un=erstands that these will need to be removed but was concerned that if they=were removed prior to your arrival that it might be misconstrued that he w=s trying to hide what was done.
