I had to bring in=Susan Gutfreund to order the furniture. Susan suggested certain minor cons=ruction changes three weeks ago. Karen then sent =e bills for another $200,000 with just numbers on a page....and I asked he= many times for vendor's bills plus her 30%. She has refused, sayin= I signed a contract and she does reveal vendors. I spoke to Julia Koch tonight who told me even Peter Marino sent th= construction bills directly to her, the client and he got a design fee. &=bsp; I also spoke to Chris Clarke tonight. He wil= come look at the 125 E. 74th Street apartment within two days. He suggest=d I ask to go the the factory to see the kitchen cabinets which Karen says=are in production. This Karen charges by the hour=to design AND charges 30% of everything you buy. =one of this is explicit in her billing. Josh Schm=lI, my accountant, and Bryan Bantry have spoke to her on my behalf. =Karen has been rude to both of them and threaten Bryan by saying she has m= over a barrel because I have no place to live. This is not her bus=ness and not true. Chris suggested I go to the bu=lding board and have them give her a deadline to get out. If she does not =eet the deadline, the building will charge her. Bryan has tried to reason with her and said, give me the bills or jus= make a compromise and finish. Both parties just want to finish. &n=sp; She is insiisting I signed the change order forms and she has me over = barrel because I signed the contract. The=e are bills for $95,000 for mouldings. $35,000 for electrical. Ther= is NO backup. She already took me t= a fireplace company and charged me $11,000 for a $5,000 fireplace. =nbsp; I am being taken advantage of. =div>I am so sorry to share any of this with you.
