Just to reiterate =unch where I joked with Lucy was in NYC at World Science Festival in =ate May of 2009, between three friends who were all participating in =he festival. Pen Moon, who reported on this conversation =incorrectly saying she thought it was in the UK) actually did not begin =t ASU until a year later, in June of 2010. Penn herself was =nterviewed and offered a job at at ASU in early april of 2010.. still =lmost a year after the conversation in question. It was Pen who =aised the idea of having Lucy as a writer in residence, and I =pproached Lucy about it in April and raised the possibility that the =niversity might provide support for her and what the nature of such a =ob might be in April of 2010. Thus there is no possibility that any =iscussions a year earlier, in June 2009 would have involved a job =ffer, nor would it have been in any case, since this was a lunch =etween friends having nothing to do with ASU.
