Patrick, given that you informed me that paid leave was not a =isciplinary action, and that I could come on campus and not be hindered =rom other things that relate to my own work as a result of the =dministrative leave that was arbitrarily imposed, I don't =nderstand how withholding funds that support my own work is not =unitive, and does not violate the claim that the leave is not =unitive. As for Jessica, my contract provides me an executive =ssistant to support my own work. The letter from the Provost =ndicated my Origins appointment and my Foundation professorship, which =ere to be renewed every 5 years, were not being renewed. There is =o such deadline for the executive assistant that was contractually =rovided to me in my offer letter, so I will continue to use Jessica =hen I need her, unless the college provides me with someone else. =nbsp; I understand that with me being on leave that Jessica's =ime was not being filled, so I am glad she is assisting with Beyond, =ut I will assume she will continue to assist me as needed as per my =ffer contract with the University.
