Last Week his father had quadruple bypass surgery in Atlanta, and recovering=well, he is now focused on moving fwd with GIV purchase. Thomas informed he was pleased with the records review, the only issue, as l=expected, was the FDR, (Flight Data Recorder) that is not installed and req=ired for FAR135 Charter ops in Europe. (My guess, this is why Wendy'= buyer went silent as well). Thomas proposes that we split the cost of the FDR, $320k and discount the pr=ce $150k. Keeping the same terms as before which included charter hours for=your use when needed. I told Thomas to speak with Gary and present this offer in writing, and I wo=ld present to you, to see if this would be acceptable. Thomas was very honest with me, and told me that he would not install the FD= at this time, his plan would be to find a used FDR and install it at a lat=r date since many GIV's are being parted out, that he could maybe f=nd a used discounted FDR unit for less money. Thomas said he would certainly charter the aircraft to Europe, however since=he is an owner/operator, he could travel to Europe under FAR 91 regulations=as we do, his current clients are part owners and friends. I hope to have Thomas's official offer by tomorrow for your consider=tion.
