So in short, the unit power was determined by Jim and he simply subtracted the power that would be used by the microwave and the outlets with leaving the legal overage he determined that this unit was maxed out. You have to realize that each outlet must be equated using its maximum allowed power. So the determination is based on the microwave operating with every outlet getting used at the same time.
