From: Warwick Wicksman Sent: Monday, December 20, 2010 8:02 PM To: jeevacation@gmail.com; Doug Schoettle; Cc: Tom Sze; Bryan Oakes Subject: LSJ Plan Studies - Main Residence Attachments: Plan Study G-3 A 12-20-10.PDF; Plan Study G-3 B 12-20-10.PDF; Plan Study G-3 C 12-20-10.PDF Jeffrey,<=p> Attached are three plan var=ations that address what we discussed last week. Option A:=/p> &=bsp; This plan is simila= to what we discussed, and your faxed sketch. &=bsp; We shifted the supp=rt building to be centered with the new living room. &=bsp; We opened up the wa=kway leading from the main residence to the new spaces.<=p> &=bsp; We are concerned ab=ut the overall size of the new living room with the added enclosed gallery=space; it's about 50' x 40'! &=bsp; This plan may also =equire us to shift a portion of the roadway, but I do not think we have ro=m at that area. I think the drop off on the north side of the road is pretty steep. Option B:=/p> &=bsp; This combines the s=pport spaces and living room into one building, and re-aligns them similar=to what we discussed. &=bsp; This building also =eels very large; it's about 70' x 30'<=p> &=bsp; We also kept the sm=ll building north of the office, but it could be omitted, and the courtyar= expanded. Option C:=/p> &=bsp; This scheme seems t= be the most efficient for overall building massing. &=bsp; We would expand the=existing office, and create bathrooms, crafts, support, etc. &=bsp; The living room wou=d stand on its own, t 30' x 50'. EFTA_R1_01998146 EFTA02682755 &=bsp; We may create a lar=er veranda on the west side of the living room. &=bsp; We do need to addre=s the much larger deck on the east. This is the roof over the pool a=ea. We do not think it should all be deck; perhaps a small part sheltered deck with "lookout" area (like the opposite sid= of the garden), and the rest landscape or roof over the pool below.<=o:p> Please let me know your tho=ghts. We are working on the lower level plan diagrams for the pool a=d balcony.
