His=tree-like mechanical sculptures, the "Dendroits" series to= with assumptions about nature vs. culture and organic vs. artificial. For Paine, the Dendroids represent an attempt t= observe trees as a language governed by rules and structures and reflect =is thoughts on human encroachment on the environment Ok so you no his works are in most of the greates= museums.... De Pont Museum of Contemporary Art, Hirshhorn Museum and Scul=ture Garden, Israel Museum, MoMa, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art= and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
