December 13, 2012 Mr. Jeffrey Epstein New York,NY 10022 Dear Jeffrey, I am sure you know of my affections for and commitment to The Hasty Pudding Institute of 1770 at Harvard. Last year, Sandi and I made a gift to Harvard that financed a renovation and expansion of the building that housed The Pudding (built originally in 1888). That building, now called Farkas Hall, is among the primary centers for the performing arts at Harvard. Attached to this letter you will find a press release that announces that The Hasty Pudding will this year honor my dear friend Michael Lynton, CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment, at a gala dinner at The Mandarin Oriental in NYC on March 4, 2013. Michael's support of The Hasty Pudding is an extraordinary, appropriate and tremendously appreciated commitment and it is one that we are asking you to help endorse. It would mean a great deal to me (and Michael) if you too would support this event and The Hasty Pudding Institute. To the extent that you are prepared to do so, we would ask that you permit us to list you as a dinner co-chair on the invitation and in the program and that you make a contribution to purchase a table at the event that night. I am asking that you consider a contribution to The Hasty Pudding Institute of $25,000 to become a member of the Fraternal Order of The Friendly Alligator. In connection with this level of support you will also receive tickets to The Hasty Pudding Show when it comes to The Danny Kaye Theater in New York this year and you will be inducted as an honorary member of Hasty Pudding Institute. In that capacity you will also receive a coveted Hasty Pudding Institute membership medal. The Hasty Pudding Institute and its member organizations rely entirely on outside support to fund their philanthropic, artistic and educational activities. It does not receive any funding at all from Harvard. When you provide funding by supporting our event in honor of Michael, all but about $200 per person of your contribution is tax deductible and goes to support the Hasty Pudding Institute's various activities in education and to support its activities in the performing arts at Harvard and elsewhere.
