The re=ort gave us a safe finding and no immediate recommendations are required w=thin the next 5 years. After reviewing with Rich and Merwin it was decided=to obtain a bid from Herbert Rose, inc for the following items as a preven=ive measure to preserve the integrity of the building rather than wait and=have costly repairs in the near future. Water will penetrate cracked areas=and cause much damage. I feel that it is best to correct these items rathe= than wait. We received a bid from Herbert Rose f=r &19,000. and negotiated to $17,600. for the following repairs: =div> Repairs recommended by: 1. Page 9 - photo 6: there is a c=ack along motor joint that should be caulked. Remove existing stone =atch and prepare stone for new patch 2. Pa=e 10 - photo 8 & 9: Cut and point all cross at water joints at w=ter table 3. Page 11- photo 10: Cle=n cracked joint in flat copper water table joint (two locations) and insta=l new Kemper strip over each joint. 4. Pag= 12 - photo 12: Clean rust area. Prime and paint. Clean and reseal railing=connection into stone wall 5. Page 14 - ph=to 16 : The bottom right bracket bolt is rusting/replace bolt and check br=cket. Install working basket in the bulkhead wall and go down to replace e=isting chimney anchors with new stainless anchors. 6. Install sidewalk bridge on south facade. (at main entrance) =A0approx. 1/2 the cost of proposal 7. N.Y.= sales tax not included in price 8. Projec= Timeline 1. two weeks notice to comme=ce 2. four men / 2 to 3 weeks from start t= completion Rich mentioned that you wanted no work into=the middle of October. We both collectively thought this was a fair price.=/div> Would you like this scheduled for then?
