DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE I OFFICE OF THE INSPECTOR GENERAL MEMORANDUM OF INVESTIGATION Case Number: 2019-010614 Reporting Off Boston Area Office Interview of Tova Noel On June 22, 2021, Senior Special Agent and Special Agent S U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General (OIG), conducted a voluntary interview of Correctional Officer Tova Noel, Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) New York, New York, within the Bergen County Bar Association second floor conference room located at 15 Bergen Street, Hackensack, New Jersey. Attorneys Jason Foy and Eric Sarraga, Foy & Seplowitz, LLC, and Case Manager , MCC New York, who identified herself as Noel's BOP Local 3148 Union Representative, were also present for the interview and served as Noel's legal and BOP representatives. The interview was conducted in reference to an official OIG investigation surrounding the death of BOP inmate Jeffrey Epstein, Register Number 76318-054, who was previously housed at the MCC New York. Noel was a Correctional Officer assigned to the MCC New York Special Housing Unit on August 10, 2019, the day Epstein was found unresponsive within his cell at the MCC New York. The interview was recorded, and the recording has been transcribed. The interview transcript and documents discussed with Noel during the interview are attached to this report. The audio recorded interview has been saved separately to the case file due to its large file size. Attachments: 1.
