But it is a case that exemplifies, more than any other case I can think of, why what we do is so important and worthwhile. Through these cases, we have exercised our immense responsibility and power in the most valuable of ways — to bring justice to victims who were wronged, first by monster and then by the justice system itself. • So this case is one of if not the case I am most honored to have played some role in during my time in the office. And I have done so little. All credit goes to the team for pushing this case so intensely, thoughtfully, and diligently. As chiefs we get to bask in all the hard work that you guys do; and in this unit, over the last several years, there has no been shorta: e whatsoever in cases to celebrate.
