JEFFREY EPSTEIN INVESTIGATION 08/26/2019 UPDATE Child Sex Trafficking: 31E-NY-3027571 • On 08/26/2019 at 10:30 AM EDT, a hearing is scheduled in the SDNY to formally drop charges against Epstein. The search warrants for LSJ only permitted the seizure of the computers. Additional search warrants are needed to review the content. • Eight computers were seized from the search warrant execution at Epstein's Manhattan residence. FBI NY is currently reviewing data extracted from the computers except for text files, documents, and emails due to potential privilege information. At the request of USAO-SDNY, FBI NY CART is extracting all documents, text files, and emails from the computers into USAO-SDNY's "Relativity" program in order to review for privilege information. Due to technical difficulties of the request, FBI CART anticipates completion of the extraction will take several weeks. Death investigation: 90A-NY-3151227 • FBI NY obtained CO cell phone from his attorney. FBI NY CART is currently conducting a digital review. Color of Law: 2828-NY-3156749 • FBI NY will attempt to serve a subpoena at Hutchinson Motel in the Bronx for records pertaining to and CO • FBI NY will attempt to canvass the pizza establishment where and CO allegedly met for surveillance footage.
