DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE I OFFICE OF THE INSPECTOR GENERAL MEMORANDUM OF INVESTIGATION Case Number: 2019-010614 Reporting Office: New York Field Office Interview of Mark Epstein On September 22, 2021, Special Agent (SA) and Senior Special Agent S U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General (OIG), conducted a voluntary interview of Mark Epstein at the OIG's New York Field Office located in New York, New York. Attorney Stacey Richman, Murray Richman Law Office, was also present for the interview and served as Epstein's legal representative. The interview was conducted in reference to an official OIG investigation surrounding the death of BOP inmate Jeffrey Epstein, Register Number 76318-054, who was previously housed at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) New York, New York in July and August 2019. Mark Epstein requested to meet with the OIG regarding information he had obtained relating to his brother, Jeffrey Epstein. The interview was recorded, and the recording has been transcribed. Following the interview, Mark Epstein sent SA the attached emails containing pictures from Jeffrey Epstein's autopsy. The interview transcript and the emails sent from Mark Epstein are attached to this report. The audio recorded interview has been saved separately to the case file due to its large file size Attachments: 1.
