There were multiple surveys done dating back from 2009 to present. The surveys have identified multiple areas throughout the institution that have tested positive for asbestos. The asbestos files are unintentintally breaking and sepe acing from the floor in both inmate and vistor ares. Current Conditions MCC New York proposes to hire a contractor to remove all asbestos identified in past and present surverys. The contractor will also inspect, dean, abate, and dispose of all asbestos contained therein.
