There were five but one decided not to accept the position the day before training was to begin. We currently have another ICT class scheduled for September 15th with an additional two Correctional Officers. We returned the certificate at the GL-05 level and are waiting for it to be audited. We requested a Correctional Officer certificate at the GL-06 level at the end on June, but have not received it to date. Additionally, we requested a certificate for government employee transfers and reinstatements. However, once it closed GP noticed an error on the announcement and had to cancel it and reannounce. We currently have 17 correctional officer vacancies and an additional 24 PO1-A positions that we are working to fill. MCC New York has advertised on 97.1 FM, ran an add in the NY Times, and also ran an add in The Chief.
