On 8/16/2019, he and his wife were at the De Novo Bar in Montclair, NJ when he overheard two ladies referencing the Epstein case. Jeff heard parts of the conversation but was concerned by a couple things she said. Specifically, she said after he died and the picture was on Facebook, money was sent to a Swiss bank account. She also said there were four BOP employees involved who can retire within the next year. Lastly, she said a couple things were done wrong including moving the cellma
