He said that this was his last call to me regarding Jeffrey Epstein. I said I was going to hold him to it. He said the State told one of Epstein's attorneys, presumably Goldberger, that under normal circumstances, Epstein would qualify for community control. He qualified the representation by saying that he/Dershowitz was not in communication with the State so he was getting this information "third hand." He'd like us to "simply" advise the State that it's their case, not ours, and to do as they see fit. There's something fishy here. I find it hard to believe that the State is using us as a crutch to deny Epstein community control.
