From: Jack Homer ..t > To: Jeffrey Epstein <:MINII > Subject: RE: Another proposal Date: Wed, 19 Sep 2012 19:08:19 +0000 Hi Jeffrey, I know you are very busy, and although I have no idea whether you received my first meeting proposal, I'm sending a second version with far fewer people. I would like to bring the five senior people from Georgia, Susan Chapman (Clemson Univ.), who works on chicken tails, and Hans Larsson from McGill, for a total of 7 people to mix with our 4 here at MSU, for a two-day meeting, now preliminarily (from the Doodle poll) scheduled for October 24-25. The reason for bringing five people from Georgia is that this group is proposing to do a bioinformatics-based approach using comparative gene expression profiling to identify likely targets and transgenic technologies to modify their expression and/or function in chicken embryos. this is really big, and a very important component for the success of this project. Also, the post-docs I have working here at MSU have gotten the protocol to create transgenic quail, which we hope will work for most experiments. All the best, Jack The budget would then be: BUDGET In-country airfare (Athens or Greenville): $600 x 6 = $3,600 Out of country (Montreal): $800 x 1 = $800 Hotel: $125 x 6 x 3 nights = $2,250 (one sets of people will share) Meals: $50 x 11 x 2 = $1,100 (two lunches and two dinners would be catered) $50 x 7 x 2 = $700 (meals for participants during travel to and from) Transportation: $200 (transportation to and from the hotel and museum) TOTAL: $8,650 EFTA00404936
