While there, he appeared to be having a grand time, engaged, laughing, smiling, and interacting with my crazy group of friends. He even regularly joined us at the restaurants, something he is known for avoiding. Everyone around me said that had not seen this before; however, afterwards, he sent me a pretty nasty note about the whole thing and what a complete waste of time it was. What was weird is that he sent me an email by proxie, but it was completely obvious that it was entirely written by him (as it was his style, spelling mistakes, choice of wording, etc). I worked pretty hard to give him a good and fun time, and everyone else enjoyed it, but I certainly got very mixed signals from him. I do know on the sly that he has been continuing to interact in an excited way with one of the people I introduced him to, but I don't get a peep out of Jeff. I don't know if he is mad or what. Without saying a thing to him, is there any way you can give me a temperature gauge? Is he angry at me or what. Perhaps, he just doesn't care. I don't know. I am happy to leave him in peace if that is what he wishes. I haven't had a peep out of him, other than a quick request to get him into TED, as I managed to get G. in. Nothing more.
