He specializes in corporate and consumer media relations, strategic planning, media training as well as global and national broadcast media relations. Martin has worked on behalf of clients such as Compaq, Ernst and Young, Softbank International Ventures, BrasilConnects and the Debswana 'Diamonds for Prosperity program. Prior History Martin's 15 years of experience in public relations includes key positions in television news and entertainment broadcasts and magazines. As Manager of Media Relations for ABC News, he supervised publicity and communications efforts for the news organization's daily programs, special broadcasts, breaking news coverage and ABC News.com. He also served as a publicist for Barbara Walters on ABC News' top-rated "20/20* and 'Good Morning America' broadcasts, as well as prime time specials hosted by Ms. Walters. Peter Jennings and John Stossel. As Director of Media Relations for CBS Television- affiliate stations, Martin managed communications and public affairs for WCBS-TV, the network's New York flagship station and for WCAU-TV. the CBS affiliate in Philadelphia. Martin was also Assistant Director of Communications at WHYY-TV and WHYY-FM, the Philadelphia PBS affiliate, where he worked on the nationally-broadcast interview program, "Fresh Air? Prior to joining Hill & Knowlton, Martin worked as Director of Media Relations at Conde Nast Publications where he supervised all communications and publicity efforts for Glamour and Allure magazines. Other Information A graduate of Fordham University. Martin taught English and Literature at Georgetown Preparatory School in Rockville. Maryland and at St. Joseph's Preparatory in Philadelphia.
