[.;This Week on Kickstarter
JULY 19, 2012
This week we've got a homegrown radio show about design, a movie theater for
bike-lovers, and Charlie Kaufman's first animated film.
;,'2,99% Invisible: Season 3
Now you see it
99% Invisible is an independent radio show
and podcast about architecture, design, and all
the thought that goes into the things most
people don't even think about. Originally
produced on a shoestring budget in creator
Roman Mars' living room, topics can range
from airport terminals and parking meters to —
wait for it — the Darth Vader Family
Courthouse.

The first animated feature from beloved indie
auteur Charlie Kaufman (Being John
Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless
Mind), Anomalisa follows the story of a man
who has become crippled by the mundanity of
his everyday life. Produced in conjunction with
Dan Harmon, the creator of Community, and
animation studio Starburn Industries, the team
will bring their unique world to life outside the
Hollywood studio system, and true
to Kaufman's original vision.

A cinema on two wheels
Combine warm weather with bikes and '80s
movie nostalgia and what do you get? A
perfect summer evening. The Bike-In-Theater
is a free, pop-up cinema that invites hundreds
of riders to watch a movie outdoors while
snacking on goodies from local food vendors.
This year they're going bi-coastal, but with
Bike-In-Theater's handy DIY kits, you can build
a bike-in right in your own driveway.
