When my office checked with Judge Smith's JA on April 18, 2016, we were informed that because your office inadvertently failed to timely file the eCourtesy copy, the Motion was excluded from the docket for April 20, 2016. Thank you for agreeing to voluntarily reschedule so that Jack Goldberger and I would not have to travel to Miami only to learn that the Judge would not hear us. When I informed Mr. Epstein of the situation, he asked that I inform you that he still believes that the issues between Mr. Brunel and himself would be best resolved with a face-to-face meeting between them. While we are certain that there is absolutely no legal basis for any claim by Mr. Brunel against Mr. Epstein, Mr. Epstein would still like very much to resolve any obstacles to the continuation of their friendship and would like to speak personally with Mr. Brunel about what he can do to achieve this. Please transmit this request for a personal meeting to Mr. Brunel, and in order to afford time for the meeting to take place, may I suggest that we look for a hearing date sometime in July, 2016.
