From: Zorro Ranch • To: J Epstein <jeevacation@gmail.com> Subject: Fwd: Speaker Options Date: Sat, 08 Aug 2015 03:40:52 +0000 Jeffrey attached e mail from Shawn Mills for your consideration Regards Brice Sent from my iPhone Begin forwarded message: From: Shawn Mills Date: August 7, 2015 at 3:49:38 PM MDT To: Brice Gordon k Brice Gordon Subject: Speaker Options Here are a few links to some good options for you. I know you like the efficiency, impact, and crisp highs of the Klipsch speakers. This is the most advanced, newest, top consumer model that they make. It is a three way design, has 9" woofers and weighs 165Ibs each. You could keep your existing rears, but I would buy the matching center. The cosmetics on the new rears are nice than your existing ones. One big benefit of these is you would not need to up your amplifier power. Check out the Stereophile review. Retail is $20k/pr. The matching center is $3500.00 Matching rears, $200/ea http://www.klipsch.com/p-39f-floorstanding-speaker/details http://www.klipsch.com/p-27c-center-speaker/detaiIs http://www.klipsch.com/p-27s-surround-speaker/details The Genelec speakers we spoke about are really designed to go behind cloth grills in a custom theater situation. Consequently, they aren't very pretty. The model we have in Denver that I was so impressed with is the I 038B. You would use one each for left and right. They make one in a center channel orientation. You could use your existing rears. Also, they are tri-amplified with built in amps, so you wouldn't need a couple of the Muse amplifiers. These are great speakers, but may not be the best for this application. Retails for $17k/pr Matching center is $8500. http://www.genelec.corn/studio-monitors/1000-series-studio-monitors/1038b-studio-monitor The best we have is the top series from Focal, the Utopia series. this is the most striking, best sounding speaker line we carry. The are quite a bit less efficient then the Klipsch and they can really show the differences in quality of amplifiers, so you would want to step up the quality of the front speaker amps. The 3 top models are. EFTA00688489 Grand Utopia $194k/pr Stella Utopia $97k/pr Maestro Utopia $52k/pr Matching center Viva Center Utopia $15k Rears SR3000be $3000/ea All prices are before your discount. Lyric HiFi in New York has a pair of the Focal Utopia Scalas at $34k/pr on display. I have a call into Focal to see where the upper models are displayed. I'll contact you with info.
