Most of the attendees have already purchased their tickets. Jeanne and I went over the IRS guidelines, such that it is, for private foundations. None of these people are affiliated with the foundation (i.e. staff, directors etc...) which might make it easier to support the reimbursement of business class tickets. We are in the process of adopting a travel policy for grantees. I made it clear to Lawrence that the foundation will not pay for any extras at the hotel such as spa treatments, scuba diving and the like. For the Passionate Minds meeting in January, Al and I discussed paying for two coach tickets since he said that he explained to you that those attendees would not come without their spouses or s.o.'s. If they want to upgrade they can do that on their own. Nathan is flying in on his own plane so I am not sure how we address reimbursement for him but Jeanne and I will review and incorporate thatin the travel policy.
