From: gmax czi To: JJ-zi Subject: FW: September 9th Evening with Cy Vance Date: Fri, 28 Aug 2009 15:09:01 +0000 Attachments: Would you like me to go, not go, or you don't care? Forwarded Message From: "Lefcourt, Jerry" Date: Wed, 26 Aug 2009 11:30:57 -0400 To: "Lefcourt, Jerry" Subject: September 9th Evening with Cy Vance I hope you will join me on Wednesday, September 9th at a reception for Cy Vance and his candidacy for Manhattan District Attorney (invite and NYT & Daily News endorsements attached). We are honored to be joined by two special guests - Gloria Steinem & Anna Quindlen. It is not surprising that along with Gloria and Anna, the New York Times, the Daily News and many prominent New Yorkers - Caroline Kennedy, David Dinkins, Gloria Steinem, Carl McCall, Betsy Gotbaum, Robert Kennedy, Jr, Barry Scheck and Peter Neufeld of Innocence Project, DA Robert Morgenthau have endorsed Cy. Attached are copies of the New York Times and Daily News endorsements which set forth a clear case for Cy. Cy has already introduced some very innovative ideas to make us safer, to get illegal guns off the street, to have more community based programs. He has shown that he knows how to use the resources of the 500 attorney M.'s office where he once worked to full benefit to focus on the prevention of crime. Particularly praiseworthy is his support for sending non-violent offenders to treatment rather than jail. Please join me on Wednesday, September 9th at Country Restaurant (90 Madison Avenue at 29th St) to meet Cy and hear his vision for the Manhattan DA's office. Please RSVP by clicking HERE or by printing the form that is attached. If you have difficulties viewing the invitation or have any questions, please contact Michelle Gross ( or Amanda Pizzuti ( or at 212.228.5222. I am honored to be hosting this event and appreciate your help to make Cy the next Manhattan DA. We have less than three weeks left to the campaign and it's important that elect a DA who will ensure that NY is safe. Please visit > for more information about Cy. I look forward to seeing you on September 9th. Gerald B. Lefcourt Gerald B. NY Post reporter denied access to sealed House Oversight document by Manhattan DA communications director

NY Post reporter denied access to sealed House Oversight document by Manhattan DA communications director The passage only reveals a request for a sealed document and a refusal to provide it, without any substantive details about the content, actors, or alleged misconduct. It suggests a possible avenue (petitioning the court) but lacks concrete leads, names, dates, or transactions. Key insights: A sealed document related to House Oversight was requested by a NY Post reporter.; Danny Frost, Director of Communications for Manhattan DA Cy Vance Jr., refused to release the document.; The reporter cites legal allowance for redaction of victim names, not full denial.
