They put a small titanium clamp on the vessel that ruptured and closed her back up. She is not through the woods because following this kind of occurence, there is frequently a reaction by the other blood vessels called vasoconstriction, that can lessen the flow of blood to the brain. They have a number of remedies for this but it would be a serious condition and there is a good chance she will get somewhat worse before she gets better. She will be waking up in the next hour or so, and I will update you when there is anything substantive to report. They will want her to stay in the hospital for another two weeks at least to monitor her progress. I will read her your emails and I know they will put a smile on her face.
