Re cochlear implant issue — I ended up having extremely crazy day (at mtgs for the most of it). Just catching up with most urgent issues. I will call tmr — although I am not sure if appropriate given what is going on in the city right now. We have 10 days to decide which implant to give. So it is not that urgent. All what is needed is some input which implant to implant. I will call anyone whom you think might help. A surgery will be performed at UW — I double checked today. A surgeon, a day and the rest is already selected. We are just seeking a second opinion re the type of the implant. A question is much simpler — he needs to decide which of three devices he wants 3 choices are: 1. Maestro cochlear implant system by Med El (medical electronics) 2. Nucleus System by Cochlear 3. Advanced Bionics It seems that his surgeon has some relationship with one of the company/device so we are just trying to be better informed.
