From: To: jeevacation@gmail.com Subject: sprinting paper now published Date: Wed, 21 Aug 2013 12:01:15 +0000 Importance: Normal Attachments: dear Jeffrey it gives me great pleasure to send you our paper on knee symmetry and sprinting ability in rural Jamaicans, just out now in PLoS ONE it is i believe a genuine contribution to the biology of sprinting as i mentioned to you i have now put together the backbone of a team to measure 100 elite sprinters, to be supplied by my friend Bruce James, head of the Jamaican Track and Field Association i wanted to ask your counsel regarding raising the necessary funds (480,000); i specifically do not wish you or Gordon Getty to contribute to this but instead Adidas, Nike and Puma, each of which sponsors one or more world-class Jamaican sprinters (Bolt, Blake, Weir, Fraser-Pryce, Powell et al) i can try to approach them through their clients but wondered if you had any suggestion for reaching these organizations at a higher level; e.g. do you have contacts in any of these companies or, better put, how would you blind-contact them if you had to? am back in Jersey for one week, mostly to have my right eye looked at, after retinal reattachment surgery in Jamaica, but next week i hope to be back in Jamaica, when publicity in the press will begin hoping all is well with you; no phone yet for me but if you wish to talk, send a number all best, as always bob EFTA00968191
