Mom is doing well and being active. She is finalizing the book, preparing a conference in Dad's name, also working with a local community who want to install a statue in his name in the town where my grandparents are from. She will come visit me here once that is done and will be ready to take on new challenges. It was awesome being in Moscow, always makes me think of what has been accomplished and reminds me that there is still a very long way to go. This year was very interesting because of my move to Zug (fantastic place), new challenging job, new people. Also did some travel around Italy, France, Germany, visited sister in London. My role here is doing a deep dive into an area of ABI's business and coming up with strategy/finding opportunities/negotiating. Worked on steel sourcing, creating byproduct business strategies, sustainability, optimization of a rice mill in the US. This year (just got the project assignment) my projects are going to be on ocean freight and rail transport, which is a great opportunity to learn about logistics. Due to the re-organization, they will most likely move me to a different role and location (Brussels/Prague/Moscow) sometime between june-december of this year. The next role will not be as EFTA01027001 interesting, nor diverse. I see my role as very much a PE role (take a sector, dive into it, improve it) and will start looking into PE firms (maybe focused on fmcg)/family offices in Switzerland. I want to figure out my options. I believe there may be a lot of opportunities here and would appreciate your advice on timing, my overall approach and general idea.
