Expressing himself
Bringing programming into household objects
may seem like a far-fetched idea, but the team
behind Clyde have made it a practical reality.
Complete with Arduino compatibility, this
hackable desk lamp lets you program your
lighting environment. Featuring an array of
sensors, Clyde can sense its surroundings and
adapt accordingly. It's even got an "afraid of the
dark" setting, perfect for those of us who are
still scared of the boogie man!

Phil Hansen's latest project is all about
participation. It's a simple idea — call a phone
number and share your story. Phil will then add
your story, in its entirety, to his giant canvas,
where it will live alongside all the other stories
left on his voicemail. It's a massive piece of
participatory art that you can join just by hitting
a few digits.

Watercolor world
Inspired by Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities, Brian
Foo's latest project reimagines the Big Apple
as a city of dreams. By recreating some of New
York's most famous buildings in watercolor
form, Brian transforms its landscapes and
topographies into majestic worlds that make
you think about the infinite possibilities that
exist in a city of 8 million people.
