NY) (FBI) I wanted to write you a short note to let you know how much I appreciate the responsiveness, team spirit and professional acumen that your team displays every time we work with them on cases over here. When I call on them to help me with analysis and case prep prior to calls with the AUSA, they are always there for me and offer on-point analysis and a collaborative opinion. It is simply what we all expect of the FBI and I try not to take it for granted - I guess I have been spoiled over these past six years! Earlier today, I arranged a call that included and Malong with the prosecutors on the Ghislaine Maxwell team and, although we were not able to convince the AUSAs to pursue forfeiture because they didn't feel that they had a nexus for the substitute assets we wanted to go after, our team presented well and showed the USAO that we can be creative in our thinking and aggressive in our approach.
