If the stipulation is not reached, and you are required to travel, you have been authorized by the New York USAO. Best of luck with this. I am on leave tomorrow but will be checking my low side periodically. Maxwell Yes, our district approves providing this testimony, thank you. We are attempting to reach a stipulation with the defense such that this testimony will not be necessary, but if we are unable to reach an agreement, then it is fine for appear for testimony. From Sent: Tuesday, December 14, 2021 3:01 PM To (USANYS) (USANYS) Cc: USANYS) Subject: RE: Subpoena For MM SA Testimony RE USA v. Maxwell FBI) USANYS) Thank you CDC -nd the New York Team. As an update, we received a call from Defense Counsel (issuer of subpoena) and it looks like they in fact will need Miami Sato testify on Thursday, unless it is pushed to Friday for unforeseen circumstances. SA -s fine with traveling Wednesday and testifying as needed, and has no concerns as to the testimony sought from him as outlined in theMompliance letter. Defense will be paying for his travel/lodging/per diem. Does Sahave DOJ approval from your district to provide testimony in this United States case? Please advise, and thank you for your assistance. I would like to advise the agent this afternoon if possible that he is good to go. Respectfully, EFTA01660493 CDC Paralegal FBI. Importance: High Good morning New York, Maxwe (USANYS) Miami). BI) Attached is a subpoena which was served upon our division yesterday afternoon for testimony by Miami SA in the USA v. Ghislaine Maxwell trial. Also attached is a Touhy letter which was emailed yesterday. While the date on the subpoena was changed to 12/16/2021, the server stated this is not the testimony date and the agent will be notified of the actual date by the defense. Copies of both have been forwarded to our agent this morning, who works in our Fort Pierce Resident Agency. I apologize to copy so many of the NY CDC staff, but was unsure who may be in the office to handle this matter and wanted to ensure its receipt. EFTA01660494 Please advise when the agent has received Dal authorization to testify in this matter and if there is anything further you may need at this time. Thank you, CDC Paralegal FBI, Miami Field Division Office: EFTA01660495
