From: Vincenzo lozzo Subject: a few things from yesterday Sent: Monday, May 19, 2014 3:15:11 PM To: "Jeffrey E." <jeevacation@gmail.com> Jeffrey, thanks for meeting me yesterday, a few of things here and there: 1) the software-defined network(SDN) stuff. From what I could gather SDN is just a bait to get into a crowded market, the idea of dynamic honeypots is not exactly new. It might work out if SDN actually becomes wide-spread but unsure. What really matters here is how good the honeypot is. Were you planning on investing into this? If so I can take a look a closer look at this if you have any kind of documentation/slide deck 2) You asked about investments made in cyber security companies, a few of decent relevance: a) Greylock, Accel and a bunch of others invested in the latest round of a mobile security company called Lookout b) Blackstone bought a significant junk of a company called Accuvant (rumor has it they are planning to invest even more) c) Silverlake made an enormous amount of money investing in Mandiant and Fireye, they got Fireye to IPO and then to acquire Mandiant. Got to love the elegance of the hedge there.. d) A lot of people invested in Palantir (starting from In-Q-Tel) I can get you a full list of people/funds that invested in cyber security if you need it. 3) Do you have any papers/books recommendations for forex trading and hedge fund strategies 'probing' ? Also anything on how to learn to 'create' new financial products? 4) I'd like to have a follow-up meeting with you if you're up to that. It'd be cool to pick your brain some more about finance stuff and also I have a few questions that it's better to go over in person I think. Are you going to be back in NY by any chance anytime in July? 5) You asked about iOS vs Android security, as I said I doubt it makes any difference in your position but iOS is way better. Also you should look into using a thing called 'POP' and an app called "SilentCircle" I think that's all Talk soon, Vincenzo ps: I gave the link to the 3d pen to Sue and Jen, I'd buy one if I were you.. I went to the MoMA store in Soho yesterday and unfortunately they were sold-out, they might have it at the other stores EFTA_R1_00026681 EFTA01738841
