We spend lots of money trying to communicate with other planets. Its unclear if there is anyone else out there and if they even care. On the other hand, whales dolphins lemurs and other animals are trying really hard to communicate with us. What are they saying? Do they have collctive memory or are humans the only ones? Migrating birds seem to know something? Where are we at with "modern" imaging? I think we should press the boundaries of magnetics and spectroscopy and see what we can do.
