May: Temperature The month of May is characterized by rapidly rising daily high temperatures, with daily highs increasing from 57°F to 70°F over the course of the month, exceeding 83°F or dropping below 45°F only one day in ten. This report describes the typical weather at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport (Buyant Ukhaa Airport) (Ulan Bator (Ulaanbaatar), Mongolia) weather station over the course of an average April. It is based on the historical records from 2006 to 2012. Earlier records are either unavailable or unreliable. Ulan Bator (Ulaanbaatar) has a continental climate with dry winters and short cool summers. The area within25 miles of this station is covered by grasslands (92%),forests (3%), and floodplains (3%).
