McGee Sent Fri 1/10/2014 4:16:10 AM Subject VI Daily News Update Jeffrey: If you have not already been informed, while I was speaking with Erika Kellerhals today I received a update phone call from our corporate counsel (Stephen Politi) who informed me that firm handling the sale of the Daily News indicated to him that a "Letter of Intent" had, in fact, been executed between the current owners and one of the prospective buyers. It was suggested to us that if still wished to have it be known that we had a continued interest, then we should submit a formal email / letter stating that we were very much still interested in being a part of the sales process in the event that the current negotiations ended without a final and formal agreement. I have asked Stephen to prepare and submit such an email / letter to the owners which we will have done and sent into them before the close of business tomorrow. I will continue to pass along any other related information or updates they become known to us. In the meantime, you can call me if you need to talk to me about any of these recent developments.
