We pay for travel expense for mechanics, they are willing to accomplish Balance in St. Thomas, however if a major problem is found or Mechanic makes an error while dis-assembling the engine causing the aircraft to be un/airworthy, engine change is St Thomas becomes challenging. Just a reminder. -GIV and G450 have same engine mounts, same part number according to Gulf stream Tech ops. -G450 has CSD (Constant Speed Drives) no converters like GIV. -we inspected our engine mounts, no defects noted, the mounts were internally examined during engine change in 2008, which is only way to inspect the mounts properly.
