Danny had prepared and secured a ladder for them so they were able to get up on the roof, review and discuss on site how they would secure the dome to the roof and how they could re-work the quote to fit the $12,000 budget. I called Mr. Samuel, Sr. and he told me he would get back to me with their findings. When I spoke with Mr. Samuel, Sr yesterday, he said after reviewing the numbers, fabrication logistics and options for securing the dome to the roof, he could not see any way to do the job for less than the $16,000. I asked Mr. Samuel to please forward for your review the line item breakdown of the $16,000 quote. He previously had only submitted to Roy a 3 line job description - 1. fabricate aluminum frame for dome top 2. wrap dome top frame with aluminum plate 3. install dome top on roof top - $16,485. I also gave him Jimmy's number to contact him to discuss the details and logistics, and hopefully see if together they can come up with ways to get the project within your $12,000 budget. Mr. Samuel said he will write up all the details and get it to me next week. I asked him if he meant Monday, he said to call him on Tuesday. On the St. Thomas side, Darrell Podhola told Jimmy that he cannot do the job for the $12,000 budget. Jimmy suspects that Podhola was seeking plans, and since there are no plans, just the measurements and the details you and Jimmy discussed, Podhola is not interested in the job.
