In fiscal 2014, net cash payments on debt were $1,371.8 million. Safeway paid $82.0 million to extinguish certain debt and paid $251.8 million in dividends in fiscal 2014. In fiscal 2013, net cash payments on debt were $1,386.0 million. Safeway also repurchased $663.7 million of common stock, paid $181.4 million in dividends and received net proceeds of $240.1 million from the exercise of stock options in fiscal 2013. In fiscal 2012, net cash additions to debt were $117.5 million.
