Jason Calacanis

Tech investor who connected Epstein to Bitcoin developers in 2011

Court Filing

American tech entrepreneur, angel investor, and podcaster (This Week in Startups, All-In Podcast). DOJ-released EFTA emails show Epstein contacted Calacanis in June 2011 requesting to 'get in touch with the Bitcoin guys.' Calacanis responded he would 'dig up their info' and provided contact information for Bitcoin developers Gavin Andresen and Amir Taaki, describing them as 'crazy open source folks who are radicals.' This outreach occurred 8 days before Andresen's CIA briefing on Bitcoin. Calacanis previously stated his only contact with Epstein occurred in the 1990s, which was contradicted by these emails.
