President of Radyca, a Miami-based architecture firm at 1450 Brickell Avenue. Hired by Jeffrey Epstein in November 2017 to design a comprehensive renovation of both Little St. James and Great St. James islands. Over seven months, Radyca produced multiple master plan revisions including detailed designs for a "Ladies' Residence" with four identical bedrooms, a separate kitchen, pool, and gym for young women, as well as a "Funhouse Point," a "Large Grotto," a master retreat, and a cinema.
Epstein personally approved a $47,760 retainer in December 2017 and paid a total exceeding $150,000 for Phase I and Phase II design work. In April 2018, Alonso sent Epstein eight detailed questions about the Ladies' Residence design, asking whether Epstein would "visit the ladies' living areas" and proposing "4 identical rooms surrounding a new small pool/sunbathing area for the ladies' private use." Epstein fired Radyca on June 30, 2018, calling the work "an embarassment" and "totally useless." Alonso also engaged landscape firm WATG on Epstein's behalf; WATG subsequently resigned from the project after receiving undisclosed negative information. 473 document references in the DOJ file releases.
